Nandini Sensharma, CEO & Director, Paramount Vision Pvt. Ltd.

Nandini Sensharma is a woman of many facets – Entrepreneur, CEO, actor, voiceover artist, wife & mother. After 11 successful years in Brand & Business strategy, in 2010, she began her life as an entrepreneur. Today, she runs her own business - Paramount Vision, an emerging 360OCommunications & Advertising agency.

After realizing her personal goals in her corporate career, Nandini joined Paramount Vision, the then 15 years old reputed design studio as a Working Partner. In the next 3 years, overall low growth of the economy led to substantial cuts in advertising budgets of companies across industries. At that juncture of her entrepreneurial career, she took a leap of faith and bought majority stakes in Paramount Vision. With complete reorganising, she turned around the loss making Paramount Vision into a successful entrepreneurial venture. In her 3 years of leadership, she scaled up the company not only in terms revenue but also in terms of profits, capabilities, talent pool and services making it an emerging Communications and Advertising agency to watch out for.

Excerpts:

WHRD: How do you motivate yourself at work?
Work motivates me. I’ll cease to exist if there’s no work and no work pressure.

WHRD: How do you keep a balance between your personal and professional life?
Well, that’s the billion dollar question! Don’t know what the definition of ‘balance between both the lives’ is. It’s just me who is doing all of everything that I can one after the other, not necessarily sequentially. While the sense of responsibility of leading an organization, generating revenues, keeping a team can’t be put into a compartment, I do have a bit flexibility of managing my time. That’s the trick I guess that helps me to enjoy both my selves to the fullest.

WHRD: What skills do you think are important to be a good leader?
Life skills and people skills are all you need. Rest all can be acquired with ease. I guess it all starts with what you want to make out of your life. Once that’s set, all you need to do is to be empathetic to your team and associates to enable them to achieve what you want to achieve. If things go wrong, you need to stand up for them, say, “hey, I’m there” and trouble shoot for them. Once you strike the right combination of both, there’s no stopping. You can take on the world.

WHRD: What are your hobbies?
Movies, books, food & music! Whenever time permits, I do voiceovers and dabble in creative writing.

WHRD: What are your tips for women who want to become entrepreneurs?
Know no fear. It all begins from zero. So, dream big. Make a plan. Work to realize as if there’s no alternative. If you have the will to persist, the world will belong to you.
